What it is
Uterine fibroids are non-cancerous growths in the womb. Besides surgery, Korean hospitals offer non-surgical treatments: high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), guided by ultrasound or MRI, and radiofrequency ablation through a needle.
What the price includes
Prices are for one treatment. The size and number of fibroids affect the price, which is why the range is wide.
Health insurance
These treatments are non-covered.

Questions
Is HIFU suitable for every fibroid?
No. Size, position and type matter, and some cases need surgery. A gynaecologist has to assess the fibroids with imaging first.
