What it is
Flu vaccines are updated every year and are best taken in autumn, before flu season peaks in winter. HIRA lists each brand’s price separately; most are four-strain (quadrivalent) vaccines, and FluMist is a nasal spray.
What the price includes
Prices are per dose and include the injection fee. A full course often needs more than one dose. Prices tend to be similar across brands; differences between hospitals are larger than between vaccines.
Health insurance
Each autumn the national programme gives free flu shots to children, pregnant women and people aged 65 or over. Ask a public health centre (보건소) whether you qualify as a foreign resident; otherwise expect these prices.
