What it is
Tdap protects against tetanus, diphtheria and whooping cough (pertussis); Td protects against tetanus and diphtheria only. Adults need a booster every ten years, and Tdap is recommended for pregnant women and people caring for newborns.
What the price includes
Prices are per dose and include the injection fee. A full course often needs more than one dose.
Health insurance
Childhood doses are free under the national programme; adult boosters are usually paid by the patient.
